6 Things I Learned from Passion to Paycheck

April 29, 2019

JCPenney Worthington Floral Suit

I had the pleasure of attending Passion to Paycheck for the second year in a row. I left feeling more motivated than ever to go out and get what it is that I want with no regrets. During the Passion to Paycheck event there was a total of 6 speakers that sprinkled gems throughout the day. Outside of feeling super motivated from each speakers story I left with 6 valuable pieces of information that will stick with me forever:

Knowledge is the precursor to experience.

As an adult I have learned how important it is to continue to learn everyday. Learning something new and keeping your brain, your most powerful muscle exercised OFTEN! With that being said, I recommend reading more books, reading articles and listening to podcasts. Our lives depend on it.

Knowledge is POWER.

The Universe will respond to your positive efforts.

The key to manifestation is positivity. In order to manifest all the things that I want I have to stay positive no matter what. Sometimes it’s much easier to get down on my circumstances if something doesn’t go my way but that would be negative. All positives vibes only!

Make sure you don’t see your worth through someone else’s eyes.

It’s easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and saying about you and your walk of life. It’s important to also know your worth regardless of what someone else thinks or says about you. For example: I have received multiple no’s from a company that I would like to partner with, even after pitching multiple times. I told myself after the second “NO” that I am worthy of what I have and what is on its way to me. You have to change the narrative for your mind and thoughts before the negative can even slip in and get you off your game. That’s what its’s all about!

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Do the work and show up everyday. It’s guaranteed that if you put in the work it will pay off in due time. Not on your time but God’s time. So never give up. Keep pressing forward.

Be of Value.

Before asking for help, make sure that you are of value. Working towards your goals shows others that may be able to assist if you need help that you help yourself.  In that case people are more prone to help someone who helps themselves.

Give Back.

Being a blessing to others is apart of my walk. I always make sure to give back through my business and brand whether it be advise or direction. Pull people up and help those around you. There’s so much room for us all to win!

I am truly thankful to have come across your IG, and read this blog post. Any encouragement right now means a lot to me. I’ve been working extremely hard to be successful and have a better life financially. I read articles/books, listen to podcast, focus on my health overall, etc. But I’ve been feel really down because I haven’t been able to progress (ie get a better job, even with obtaining a masters degree 🙄) so that I can travel like I’ve always wanted, keep up with bills/student loans, just function healthy and successfully. Though I’m not 100%, reading this has given me a little push to try my best to push thru. Thank you!
