5 Ways to Upgrade Your Instagram Account

There’s no secret that social media is a very important factor when it comes to being an influencer. Instagram, in particular, has great value when it comes to building a strong business.

There are 5 Ways to Upgrade your Instagram account to help generate new business and new followers. The key is to create a cohesive brand throughout your social media channels that go hand and hand with your website or blog.

1. Create Highlight covers for your Instagram Highlights. Personalized highlight covers are just another way to show your audience and potential clients/brands that you take Instagram seriously. Being cohesive all the way around is huge. You can create highlight covers on apps like Canva and Over. These apps are free and are a great resource to create your own text images not only for Instagram but for other projects as well.
2. Start your own Instagram TV Channel. IGTV was released almost a year ago. Another great way to create shorter content for your audience even if you have a youtube channel. Videos must be 15 minutes or less and also need to be vertical and not horizontal. More content means new eyes.
3. Use apps like Planoly and Later to plan and schedule posts ahead of time and see how they will look in your Instagram feed.
4. Create a Content Calendar. I personally have a planner and use that to plan out my Instagram posts. I find it easier to plan out my content and ideas when it’s written down. You can also utilize the calendar and notes tool on your phone if you need something quick and convenient.
5. Create your own brand Story templates. You can hire someone to create your brand story templates or you can create your own through apps like Canva and Over. If you want to hire someone to handle it for you try out Fiverr.com or Etsy.

Bonus- If you don’t have a budget to hire a photographer to take your pictures, invest in a tripod and remote so that you can take your own pictures. Also if you have an up-to-date phone (i.e. iPhone) use it. I take all of my content photos on my iPhone X and I always get compliments on my photos.
