My very first car was a  White 1995 Honda Civic that I ended up giving the nickname “Butter”. She was perfect in every way and not only got me to school everyday but also back and forth to my first job at the mall, Tj maxx! Butter is long gone now after being hit in an accident but she set the tone for all the vehicles to come after her.

I’ve grown to love the Honda brand for it’s durability and longevity. We owned Butter for at least a decade and the most I had to get repaired were breaks and tires. After my short stint of owning a Volkswagon Passat I ended up buying a used 2008  Honda Civic that would become my only means of transportation and actually follow me on my journey from NC to LA. “Blue Ivy” is my ride or die. Every time I want to go on a random shopping or snack trip she’s there!

I recently paid off my car loan for “Blue Ivy” and it was one of the best feelings ever! I worked hard and made sure my bills were paid. And for that this post is to pay homage to my Honda and all the Honda owners out there.  I plan on passing this car down to my first born once he or she is old enough to drive and Im quite sure she will still be a reliable source of transportation.
