With all of the terrible things going on in the world it’s easy to live in fear. Kidnappings, assaults and sex trafficking are just a few crimes that are plaguing communities around the country. I thought it was important that I share 5 Ways to Live a Safe Lifestyle as a Woman.

Change your routine.
As humans it’s easy to stick to a strict routine. Home, work, gym and back home. Change your routine so that you can’t be tracked if you were being followed etc. Also refrain from posting where you are on social media in real time. Record your IG stories and then post them when you’ve left if at all possible. Social media is fun but there are some people who look to harm other and social media can generally give them all the information they need.
Pay attention to your surroundings. Day and Night.
Predators are always waiting to catch you off guard leaving malls, stores or even your home. Pay attention to the cars that are parked next to you car or even people around your car that look suspicious. In addition to paying attention to your surroundings, if there are any items left on or any damage is done to your vehicle get into you car immediately.
Share your location with family or friends.
I let my friend and close family members know when I make it home safely. If I go out at night and meet with friends we always walk with each other to the closest car and we text when we make it home safely. There’s a location feature on iPhone that you care share your location instantly or even indefinitely very clutch.
Take a self defense class.
Groupon almost always has affordable self defense classes.
