Marni Senofonte x Barbie Collection

This is the second time within the last month that I have been amazed by the advancement of Barbie and where it is today in respect to fashion and awareness.

I definitely remember playing with Barbies when I was a little girl and I don’t remember if they were black Barbie Dolls but I know they didnt have half of the clothing options that Barbie’s have now. So I’m pretty excited for my future daughter because her Barbie Collection will be out of this world.

But let’s get into this collaboration between Beyoncé’s Stylist Marni Senofonte and Barbie. I saw pictures on IG and I was instantly blown away. Marni Senofonte is the stylist behind Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Formation World Tour looks. She was able to bring her vision to life through the collaboration on Barbies of all shapes, sizes and colors.

When Marni was asked what was her inspiration for the designs, she referenced the Barbie Fashionistas line. The Barbie Fashionistas line has a range of dolls offered in four varying body types (original, curvy, tall, and petite) and a multitude of skin tones and hairstyles. Which is great because in this day and age being conscious of how different we are is important so that no one feels left out. Great Job Barbie!

Even though these dolls aren’t available for purchase right now. I’m gonna be ready if and when they do because I can hold on to them until I have my future daughter.
